Spring stroll in Ise City

I stayed in Ise for the first time in about a year. I explored the town of Ise Kawasaki, enjoyed food and drinks, and visited both the Naiku Shrine and Geku Shrine of Ise Jingu.

HITOSARA

I ordered the chicken hitsumabushi-style set meal that caught my eye from the many menu options. I ate it with wasabi like hitsumabushi and finished by pouring dashi broth over it. It was delicious.

Proud Coffee

First visit after relocation. The image has changed significantly from the previous store. There is a warmth of wood and a calming atmosphere.

Ise Kawasaki

I take a walk in the town of Ise Kawasaki. I don't see many tourists, but it is one of my favorite spots. There are also some unique restaurants and eateries scattered around.

Tsutaya

Go to a shop in Ise-Kawasaki town that serves Ise Udon. It was a soft yet firm udon with a simple and good taste.

EN Hotel Ise

I have visited Ise many times, but this is the first time I am staying in a hotel. It is a reasonably priced hotel close to the station and the Kawasaki area.

Winebar Goya

A wine bar that is a must-visit when you come to Ise. This time, I enjoyed various natural wines. I also ordered a mimigar salad. The owner is from Okinawa.

Dandelion Chocolate Ise

Every time I come to Ise, I always visit the chocolate specialty shop. I enjoyed a light meal in the cafe space inside the shop and bought a souvenir chocolate bar.

Isejingu Geku

I visited Geku Shrine. Since it was after Golden Week, I was able to visit without it being too crowded.

Iori

For lunch, I had sushi in Isehasaki. I enjoyed various kinds of sushi from the course menu. It is a small but nice shop with a good atmosphere. I would like to come back at night next time.

Kawabena Nanakusa Shrine

To the shrine that is right next to the shushi restaurant Iori. Just like Funae Kamiyashiro, I did not imagine that there would be a shrine with such a large precinct from the outside.

Sarutahiko Shrine

Riding a folding bicycle, I traveled from Geku to Naiku. Along the way, I visited Sarutahiko Shrine.

Fujiya-Sougetsudo

I enjoyed moon-viewing, fireflies, and wagashi (traditional Japanese sweets) made with roses in front of the store. It's nice that we can enjoy the seasons with wagashi.

Oharai-machi Street

Arrived in Oharai-machi. It wasn't too crowded since Golden Week was over.

Isekadoya Beer in front of Naiku

I went to the direct store of Isekadoya Beer. It's steamy hot, so beer tastes delicious. I also had a set meal of oyster fry.

Ise-Jingu Naiku

I visited the Naiku shrine. Since Golden Week had finished, there were few people and I was able to leisurely stroll around the vast grounds.

Cafe Capjuby

Finally, I took a coffee break in Oharai-machi. I had Traja coffee in both hot and iced. After this,I returned to Ise-shi Station by bus.

Yuniwa & Osteria il Mosto

I headed to the wine store I had been curious about at night. They serve wine made in tanks on the first floor. It's a perfect shop for me, as I love domestic grape wines like Delaware and Muscat Berry A. I had a light meal at the restaurant on the second floor, then moved to the bar on the first floor. As usual, despite I am a first-time visitor, I lingered until closing time (laughs).

Camino Coffee

On the morning of the last day. I went to have some delicious coffee. It was served in a paper cup, but the mouth of the cup was thick enough to make it tasty to drink.

Kawasaki Ni-chome Syokudo

I had curry at a restaurant in Ise Kawasaki for lunch. I went to the restaurant around opening time, but it was already full and I had to wait for about 15 minutes. It was worth the wait, as I was able to enjoy a very delicious curry with a taste that I had never had before. The croquettes were also delicious.

I have visited Ise many times, but I was able to find a shop I want to repeat, and I enjoyed it again this time! If you have never been to Kawasaki Town, please be sure to explore it. I hope this article is helpful.
